Dentist faked bills worth £286,000 - Telegraph
Extract:
"A dentist took luxury holidays at the taxpayer's expense after he swindled the NHS of £286,000, a misconduct hearing was told.
Stephen Carlin, 54, created bogus bills for dead patients at the Carlin Dental Practice in Plymouth, the General Dental Council (GDC) heard.
The dentist of Great Hill Road, Torquay, pleaded guilty at Plymouth Crown Court in April last year to 15 charges of obtaining a money transfer by deception. He was sentenced to 30 months for each offence to run concurrently.
The GDC's case involves the original record cards of four former patients found during a search by police of his home and practice in 2005."
