Thinning, Fragile Skin? Shiny Skin? Itchy Skin? Taut Skin? Inner Thighs or Knees Rubbing and Chafing? Stretch Marks?

Thinning, Fragile Skin? Shiny Skin? Itchy Skin? Taut Skin? Over-stretched Skin? Painful Skin? Sensitive Skin? Red Skin? Cracked Heels? Age Spots? Skin Atrophy? Stretch Marks? Striae? Inner Thighs or Knees Rubbing and Chafing?

If you have some or all of these distressing symptoms then I have good news for you! - They can be helped by cutting down on your intake of salt.

It is very likely that you are sensitive to salt, and if you are, then you are probably overweight because the excess salt in your body will be causing extra water to be held in your bloodstream. - That extra blood volume exerts pressure on your skin from the inside, thus making it become taut, painful and overstretched, much thinner and more painful. - Your skin has probably reddened too, because with the skin thinner, the blood vessels are nearer to the surface, and since they are also swollen from the extra water in the bloodstream, the skin tends to take on the colour of the veins beneath its surface.

You have also probably been dieting at some time. - This also will have weakened your skin and contributed to its weakening. - Dieting is unnecessary, ineffective and often does harm. - Give it up!

If you cut down on the amount of salt you eat you will excrete some of the excess water and the blood vessels will not be so distended. Then the skin will also be less stressed and taut. You will also lose weight (the weight of the extra water excreted) and your blood pressure will be lowered. If you make sure that you eat plenty of fresh vegetables and fruit you will lose the excess water and the weight even faster...(o:
