Two years of lost sleep if your partner snores - Telegraph article
Extract:
"Snorers cost their partners two years of sleep over their lives together, researchers claim.
Fifteen million British adults live with a snoring partner, depriving them of an average of two hours sleep a night, according to a study by the British Snoring and Sleep Apnoea Association (BSSAA).
If an average relationship lasts 24 years, this equates to a loss of two years' sleep.
Of the 2,000 adults questioned, 85 per cent said their relationship would be better if their partner's snoring problem was resolved.
Over half (55 per cent) said snoring had affected their sexual relationship."
Snoring and sleep apnoea are strongly associated with being overweight or obese. Obesity is caused by fluid retention and can easily be lessened by reducing salt/sodium intake, because it is usually sodium retention that is causing the fluid retention. - So you can improve your sleep by getting your partner to reduce his/her salt intake.
Lose weight by eating less salt! Go on! - Try it! - You will feel so much better!
