Sorry folks! - I missed it! - Apparently yesterday was World Heart Day. - Anyway it's not too late to remind you that the best thing you can do for your heart health is to minimise your intake of salt/sodium and salty food. This will also reduce your risk of stroke, type 2 diabetes, dementia, cancer, osteoporosis, and many other debilitating diseases. Here is some information about which foods are high in salt and should be avoided, etc. The extra bonus you get from cutting down on salt is that if you are overweight or obese, you will lose some of that excess weight...(o: - And please note that is without dieting, without hunger, without calorie-counting, without extra exercise (Exercise has many benefits but it is not an effective way to lose weight), without drugs and without adverse side-effects.
