It would be great if ordinary members of the public could easily buy low sodium or no sodium baking powder in order to make scones and cakes and dumplings, etc. that are healthier for people who need to have a low sodium intake. If you know of any shop that sells potassium baking powder it would be helpful if you would kindly tell us about it using the Comment facility on the blog or by sending me an email from my website.

I found the website of a company that sells these and other specialised baking powders - Kudos Blends Ltd at http://www.kudosblends.co.uk/ - but they only supply in large quantities to industrial bakeries. It would be good if more bakeries decided to use potassium baking powder to make some low sodium baked scones, etc for the high proportion of their customers who would benefit from lower sodium intake. You'd be surprised how high in salt/sodium most scones are.
