The evil that men do lives after them.

The quotation is from Mark Anthony's funeral oration for Julius Caesar in Shakespeare's play of that name.

I always think of these words in connection with the widespread and terrible harm the medical profession has done over many years and is still doing - by giving harmful, incorrect advice to their patients on the subject of how best to lose excess weight. - They have 'always' advised eating less and exercising more, or variations on this basic theme, the implication being that the overweight person is overweight because of greed and/or idleness. The advice does not work, and if taken, often results in adverse side-effects, e.g. hunger, tiredness, weight gain, malnutrition., etc. etc. Millions of overweight people the world over are suffering physically, mentally, emotionally, etc. because of this medical advice, which is untrue, unhelpful, unscientific because still untested, etc. It is going to take many years - generations, perhaps - to expunge this wrong advice from the conventional wisdom...)o:.

Lose weight, reduce your risk of most cancers, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, stroke, heart disease, heart attack, vascular dementia, osteopenia, osteoporosis, hypercholesterolaemia, depression, liver and kidney problems, and improve your health in many other ways without drugs or expense by eating less salt! - Try it! - You will feel so much better!
