Dawn has lost a lot of weight by following my advice

Dawn started trying to lose weight at the beginning of January this year. She used to email me asking me for information and advice. (I can be emailed from my website.)

I told Dawn that for very overweight people like her, the fastest and safest way to lose weight is seriously to cut down on salt and salty food. She lost a lot of weight easily by following that advice.

But Dawn had a big problem that did not involve salt. This problem was her and her family's liking for sweet stuff, especially cakes and suchlike. For years she had been duped by the many misleading suggestions on the internet and elsewhere that by using artificial sweeteners instead of sugar, the lower calorie intake would result in weight loss. I explained to her that this was not true, but she found that hard to remember because of a lifetime's conditioning to believe the lies of the dieting industry.

I became very concerned about Dawn and sent her a particularly firm message about the dangers of eating artificial sweeteners - and indeed artificial additives of all kinds - and that message finally sank in, thank goodness. She gave up eating sweet and sugary foods. She severely cut down on carbs in general and instead ate mostly protein foods and foods high in healthy fat.

I'll bet you're wondering how much weight Dawn has lost since January. - Well she has lost well over 60 pounds in weight and looks set fair to reach a loss of 70 pounds, i.e. 5 stones, by Christmas! - That's a really impressive achievement, you will agree. - She has gone from a size 26 to a size 16! - And she is feeling sooo much better...(o:

Incidence of Obesity Continues to Rise in the US.

BBC News reports ever more widespread obesity in the United States, where the "economic crisis is partly blamed for rising obesity rates."

As in the UK and the rest of the developed world, obesity will continue to increase both in incidence and in severity until the truth is told about its causes and the best ways to prevent it and to reduce it. The current misinformation, widely and loudly iterated by obesity 'experts', the medical profession and the dieting industry, is fuelling this near-global health crisis.

Obesity is not caused by overeating; it is caused by salt sensitivity/fluid retention in vulnerable people. These include children. - See Vulnerable groups

When people whose blood vessels are weaker than the norm eat salt, the result is weight gain and obesity (because of excess sodium and water held in the blood vessels and elsewhere). This condition is also known as sodium retention, water retention, fluid retention, salt sensitivity or oedema
. If these people reduce their salt intake they lose some of the excess sodium and water, and so lose weight, and if they eat plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables they lose weight faster, because the potassium in the fruit and vegetables displaces some of the excess sodium from the body.

Prescription drugs including steroids, many antidepressants, anti-psychotics and epilepsy drugs as well as other pharmaceuticals, are a major cause of fluid retention/obesity and especially of morbid obesity. For the sake of your health it would be best to avoid prescribed medication, unless it is absolutely necessary.

Lose weight, reduce your risk of most cancers, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, heart disease, heart attack, vascular dementia, stroke, osteopenia, osteoporosis, hypercholesterolaemia, depression, liver and kidney problems, and improve your health in many other ways without drugs, hunger or expense by eating less salt! - Try it! - You will feel so much better! The Salt Has Lost Its Savour

The Salt Has Lost Its Savour: a Blessing has become a Bane.

I'm afraid that in these latter days of salt-laden processed ready meals masquerading as real food, and prescribed medication purporting to deliver health while all too often actually inflicting catastrophic damage on multitudes of innocent victims by causing salt sensitivity/oedema/fluid retention/water weight/morbid obesity and its co-morbidities - high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, cancer et al - humankind is in great danger.

In the grip of a corrupt multinational pharmaceutical industry, a rapacious food industry, an uninformed dieting industry, an ill-informed and sometimes collusive medical profession, and compliant, sometimes collusive politicians and governments, the health and happiness of humankind are being sacrificed to the avarice of the powerful.

If you are feeling depressed and guilty about gaining a lot of weight over the Christmas period, help is at hand!

You don't need to go hungry, cut down on calories/fat or take strenuous exercise...(o: Nor do you need to take dodgy drugs or go to 'slimming clubs' or buy diet books or employ a personal trainer...(o: You do not need to swell the bank balances of surgeons who perform weight loss surgery although there are many risks and failures associated with it. You do not need to spend your life trying one ineffective diet after another and developing the frailty and chronic illnesses that accrue to dieters. You do not need to sacrifice any more of your health, strength and beauty, and grow old before your time.

Despite the misinformation you have been fed over the years by the dieting industry and the medical profession, overweight is not caused by 'overeating'; it is caused by weakened blood vessels leading to fluid retention and salt sensitivity. - Here is how to reduce these problems easily, quickly and safely:

Lose weight, reduce your risk of most cancers, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, stroke, heart disease, heart attack, vascular dementia, osteopenia, osteoporosis, hypercholesterolaemia, depression, liver and kidney problems, and improve your health in many other ways without drugs, hunger or expense by eating less salt! - Try it! - You will feel so much better!
