Primary care health workers fail to reduce child obesity

BBC News reports that GPs and practice nurses said time pressures, lack of treatment options, and parental reluctance to address weight problems prevented them from solving the problem of childhood obesity.

Well I've got the solution:

Tell the public the truth about what causes child obesity
, i.e. eating salty food, and the truth about how to reduce obesity, i.e. avoid salt and salty food.

Stop claiming that exercise reduces or prevents obesity. - It doesn't.

Make it clear that dieting and calorie reduction do NOT reduce obesity.

Ban food manufacturers from producing breakfast cereals high in added salt.
