Poem by Margaret Wilde

Dare you go exploring

Into the place of pain?
Among the ridges?
The sharpened edges?

Press the points?
Touch the throbbing masses?
Taste the tenderness?
Envelop the engorgement?
Skirt the swollen sores?

Engage with the deep, dark, hidden adversary?
