Tomato ketchup has become the latest foodstuff to be banned from canteens at some schools as part of a move towards healthier eating.

"The popular condiment has been taken off the menu at primary schools in the Vale of Glamorgan, South Wales, in a move branded "daft" by some parents.

It comes after Marmite was banned by Ceredigion Council, in Mid Wales, from school breakfast clubs because of "a high level of salt"."

Well that's a good move. Reducing chilldren's salt intake reduces their likelihood of being overweight and having high blood pressure, etc.
