The NGH is certainly not one of Britain's dirty hospitals. The ward I was on was cleaned every day and I suppose that other parts of the hospital also were. The cleaners and orderlies impressed me as conscientious and very hard-working.
The staff put a lot of effort into preventing cross infection.
